Shadowrocket is available only through the App Store. This guide is for first-time buyers and anyone who needs to redownload the app: verify the app first, check the store price, device compatibility, and purchasing account, then confirm payment and download through the system. Buying the app does not include a server plan. Import your existing service configuration or subscription after installing the app.
Before you buy: verify the app and understand the costs
Shadowrocket is a paid app with a one-time purchase. Keep two things separate: the App Store charges for the app, while server details used in the app come from a configuration you already have. Buying the app does not provide a server connection. This site does not provide, sell, or recommend nodes or subscriptions.
Purchases are primarily made on iPhone and iPad. For compatibility and purchase availability on Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision, check the same product page. Refer to the App Store listing for system requirements. Don’t assume compatibility based on a device’s name, or treat a purchase on another device as proof that the app works on this one.
This guide doesn’t list a fixed price because the amount and currency shown in your current App Store storefront are what matter. When the payment confirmation appears, check the app name and amount again. The purchase button on the product page and the system confirmation screen are separate steps—seeing a price does not mean the transaction is complete.
Search and verify: check the name, developer, and icon
In the App Store, enter the full English name Shadowrocket in Search. Search results can change order, so open the product page and verify its details instead of relying on its position or a similar name. To get there from this site, open the official app verification page and follow its App Store link.
-
Search by name
Open App Store → Search and enter Shadowrocket. Select a result, then check the product page to make sure the full app name is spelled correctly. Don’t rely on the search term or result ranking as verification.
-
Check the developer
Verify that the developer is Shadow Launch Technology Limited. If the name isn’t fully visible at the top, check the information section on the product page to confirm the full name.
-
Check the icon
Look for the official rocket icon on a white background with a blue-purple outline, and compare it with the official icon shown on this site’s app verification page. The icon is one clue; also verify the developer and app ID.
-
Check the app ID
The product link should contain
id932747118. Use the App Store’s Share option to view or copy the product link, then check the number. The region in the link is not the app ID.
The app ID in the App Store link identifies the exact product. Searching by name helps you find a candidate; the developer and icon help verify its identity; the app ID confirms that it’s the same App Store listing. Do these checks before paying—you don’t need to buy the app first and verify it later.
Bottom line: stop if the details don’t match
If the developer name or app ID doesn’t match, return to the official app verification page and open the product page again. Don’t proceed just because the name or icon looks similar or the result appears near the top.
Payment and download: follow the system confirmation
Once you’ve verified the product page, review the compatibility information and check the displayed price. The App Store purchasing account may differ from the account used for other Apple services on your device. If you need to redownload the app later, the purchase is tied to the account used for this transaction.
-
Check your account
In the App Store, tap your account picture and confirm which Apple Account you use for purchases. Make sure you know which account will be charged before returning to the product page.
-
Confirm the price
Tap the price on the product page, then check the app name, amount, and currency in the system purchase confirmation. If anything looks wrong, cancel and review the store listing.
-
Authenticate the purchase
Confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, or your account password as prompted. The available method depends on your device and account settings. If the system asks you to press a button, follow the on-screen instructions.
-
Wait for the download
After payment succeeds, wait for the download to finish. Start the first-launch checks only when the product page shows Open or the app opens from your Home Screen.
If the system says your payment method needs verification, there’s a billing issue, or the purchase hasn’t completed, follow the App Store account prompts first. Closing the alert or tapping the price again doesn’t confirm a transaction. If the download hasn’t finished, check your purchase history and download status before assuming you need to buy the app again.
Redownload after purchase: check your purchase history and device compatibility
After deleting the app or switching devices, check the App Store history using the original purchasing account. Depending on your system, the section may be called Apps or Purchased; use the name shown on your device. Look in the account’s app list instead of assuming a button on the search page confirms an earlier purchase.
- Open App Store → account picture → Apps or Purchased. Search for Shadowrocket in your app list, then tap the redownload button next to it.
- If the product page shows a cloud download icon, you can usually redownload the app from there. If it shows Open, the app is already available on this device.
- If the price still appears, check which purchasing account is signed in and look up the transaction in your purchase history before paying again.
- If you can’t find the app, check whether the relevant item is hidden and whether your device, system, and storefront region meet the product page requirements.
On your device, view purchase history at Settings → Apple Account → Media & Purchases → View Account → Purchase History. Menu labels may vary by system language and version. Check the date range; older transactions may not appear in the default list. Receipts and transaction records can help confirm which account made the purchase, but they don’t transfer purchases from another account to the current one.
Redownloading the app and restoring its configuration are separate tasks. A store purchase record confirms your eligibility to get the app; it doesn’t confirm that your server configuration has been restored. After opening the app, check whether your own entries are still in Home and which configuration is selected in Config. If you need to import a configuration again, use one you already have and can verify the source of.
After the download: understand launch, authorization, and Global Routing
After opening Shadowrocket from the App Store, start by understanding the roles of Home, Config, and Settings: Home shows servers and connection status, Config manages configuration files, and Settings contains app preferences. The system request to add a VPN configuration usually appears when you first try to connect, not necessarily as soon as you open the app. Approve it only when you’re ready to enable the connection.
Global Routing controls routing in the app; it isn’t an App Store purchase option. The comparison below explains what to check after installation—it doesn’t mean the app will connect as soon as you buy it. This section covers Config, Proxy, and Direct. Scene is a separate selection and shouldn’t be confused with these three options.
Config: follow the configuration
RecommendedChoose a policy based on the rules in the current configuration. Rules can specify DIRECT, PROXY, or another defined policy. How unmatched requests are handled depends on the actual configuration, including settings such as FINAL; don’t assume all other requests go direct.
Best for: everyday use with a configuration you trust, after checking its rules and fallback policy.
Proxy: route through the proxy
Handle requests managed by the app in proxy mode, so you can compare the result with Config’s rule-based routing. This mode still depends on a valid configuration for the selected server. It won’t fix account payment, app download, or server credential issues.
Best for: temporarily checking whether rule selection is affecting access when you already have a working server.
Direct: connect directly
Handle requests managed by the app in direct mode. A website opening in this mode doesn’t prove that a proxy server works. To test a server, select the relevant entry and check both Connectivity Test and actual access.
Best for: comparing direct access to help distinguish local network issues from proxy path issues.
If you already have a subscription, tap “+” in the top-right corner of Home and go to Type → Subscribe to add your own subscription details, then check the import result. Subscription URLs may contain credentials and shouldn’t be posted publicly. The purchase process is complete once the app opens normally. For connection steps, continue with the Getting Started guide.
App Store purchase FAQs: search, billing, and redownloading
Can’t find Shadowrocket in Search? Check this first
First, check the spelling of the English name, then open the App Store product page from this site’s official app verification page. If the store says the app isn’t available in your region or your device isn’t compatible, follow the page’s guidance and check the storefront region and compatibility details. Searching again won’t change availability.
Payment is recorded, but the app hasn’t finished downloading. What should I do?
Return to the App Store product page to check download progress, then check your network connection and available device storage. If the download is paused, resume it as prompted. Also check the transaction status in Purchase History. Once the purchase is confirmed, troubleshoot the download rather than paying again.
Why do I see a price even though I bought it before?
First, check the purchasing account on your App Store account page, then look for the Shadowrocket transaction in Purchase History. Once you find the purchase under the original account, check your app list and the product page status. If the record and button still don’t match, use the account and purchase support options provided by the App Store.
The download is complete. Why can’t I connect from Home?
The app purchase doesn’t include a server configuration. Make sure your existing server or subscription has been imported correctly, select an entry in Home, then try connecting and follow the system VPN authorization prompt. Use Connectivity Test to help check the connection, and verify Global Routing as well. Having the app installed doesn’t mean the proxy path is working.
